NOTICE TO MARKET PARTICIPANTS

Re: Draft Guideline – Intertie Conduct in the Post Quick Hits World

On May 7, 2008 the MSA notified stakeholders that it had commenced a stakeholder consultation process in relation to Intertie Conduct in the post Quick Hits world.  At that time the MSA published a ‘Strawdog’ draft upon which interested parties were invited to provide comment.

On May 26, 2008, in accordance with its Stakeholder Consultation Process, the MSA published the comments received on the Strawdog draft.

Having considered the comments received from stakeholders, the MSA is now publishing a Draft Guideline as well as a formal response to the comments on the Strawdog draft (Appendix A to this Notice).

Appendix A

Draft Guideline

In accordance with the Project Schedule (included at the end of Appendix A) interested parties are invited to provide their comments on the Draft Guideline by June 27, 2008.

The Project Schedule for the Stakeholder Consultation Process will be set out at each stage, and will be updated as applicable.  For clarity, the process is currently in the ‘Draft’ stage (see attached Project Schedule).

Interested parties can track this process through the Current Stakeholder Consultations link on the MSA website home page: http://www.albertamsa.ca/.

The generic Stakeholder Consultation Process can be found on the MSA website through the following link: http://www.albertamsa.ca/files/Principles_and_Framework_for_MSA_Public_Projects_-_Revised_01-15-08(2).pdf

We appreciate your participation in these matters.
