Re: Stakeholder Comments on Draft Guideline – Intertie Conduct in the Post Quick Hits World

On May 7, 2008 the MSA notified stakeholders that it had commenced a Stakeholder Consultation Process in relation to guidance around intertie conduct.  The MSA commenced the discussions by publishing a ‘Strawdog Draft’.

In accordance with the Stakeholder Consultation Process, and based upon comments received on the Strawdog Draft, on June 9, 2008 the MSA published a Draft  Guideline on which interested parties were invited to provide comment.

Comments were received from three parties during the comment period set out in the related Project Schedule.  In accordance with its Stakeholder Consultation Process, the MSA is publishing the comments received on the Draft.  Those comments can be found through the following link(s):

ENMAX Comments

Powerex Comments

TransCanada Comments

For clarity, the process is currently in the ‘Decide’ stage.  The MSA is considering the comments received and anticipates providing a formal response when it publishes a final version of the Guideline.  That step is anticipated to occur on July 14, 2008.  Interested parties can track this process through the Current Stakeholder Consultations link on the MSA website home page:
